This popular Restoration-period romantic comedy by one of the first British female professional writers, amatory fiction author Aphra Behn (1640-1689), features multiple plots dealing with the amorous adventures of a group of Englishmen in Naples at Carnival time. Adaptation directed by Doug West and performed by NextStage Ensemble. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

OPENING RECEPTION: Through Others Eyes
This inspirational photographic exhibition, named after a unique project of the same name under the auspices of Givat Haviva, an educational institute in Israel, highlights a selection of works created by Israeli Arab and Jewish high school students and adult women. During the cross-cultural exchange, the camera became a tool to bring these two populations together and open up outlets for self and group expression and understanding. The photographs and narratives about the their experiences reflect emotions found in daily life in the participants’ communities, their homes, and with one another. Members of the youth group will be present to discuss the project and its impact on their lives.

FILM/CONCERT: Asbury Shorts & Jazz
Back by popular demand due to March Nor'Easters Asbury Shorts, New York City’s longest running annual short film exhibition, 30th Anniversary season, will present their acclaimed program of international award winning shorts. Includes award-winning Jason Reitman’s Consent (comedy about two young lovers) and In God We Trust (recently-deceased man returns to earth to earn points to get into Heaven), Super Powers from NY filmmakers Jeremy Kipp Walker and John Walker, the Oscar-winning, Father & Daughter, and others.
Live music provided by the OBE (Outer Body Experience) Jazz trio with Craig Akin (upright bass), Roy Assaf (piano) and Eric Neveloff (alto sax). Asbury Shorts Director/Co-Founder, Doug LeClaire, will discuss the general selection process and the specific films being presented.
$15 suggested donation.

Timed to coincide with the new Camp at Teaneck Creek Conservancy, this encore performance will also be open to those who missed it on July 25. Adaptation directed by Abigail Isaac and performed by NextStage Ensemble. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
