“CALL TO TEANECK ARTISTS”
TEANECK FESTIVAL OF ARTS
JUNE 2009 SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Due to the tremendous turnout for the inaugural exhibit in January 2008, Teaneck Festival of Arts has decided to sponsor an annual exhibit featuring the works of Teaneck visual artists. This juried exhibit of professional artists will be on view at the Teaneck Public Library during the month of June 2009. Submissions will be accepted only from artists who currently reside, work, or formerly resided in Teaneck.

REQUIREMENTS FOR 2-D AND 3-D WORKS

1. Submissions: Due to space limitations, open to all two-dimensional works, not to exceed 22” x 30”, framed and wired for hanging; three-dimensional works not to exceed 12” in the round.

2.  Format: Submissions must be in slide form or digital images on a CD and must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2009.

3.  Date of Work: Works must have been completed in the past three years (2006-2009).

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION (slides or jpegs)

1.  Artists: May submit up to a maximum of 3 images of their work (2D and/or 3D) for consideration.

2.  Slides: 35mm color slides (up to 3 slides). Label each slide with the artist’s name, title, medium, date of completion and number each slide so that it conforms with the image identification sheet. Place a red dot on the front and lower left-hand corner. Place slides in a plastic slide holder.

3.  Digital Images (Preferred): Must be as jpeg files on a CD (up to 3 images at high resolution).

4.  Image Identification: On a single 8.5” x 11” white paper include the following information: slide # or digital image #, artist’s name, title of work, dimensions, medium, and date of work.

5.  Documents: Resume/Bio including artist’s exhibitions (not to exceed one sheet).

Applications (CD/slides and documents) must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2009.
