RESERVATIONS at the PUFFIN CULTURAL FORUM

Reservations are accepted for all events except the Jazz Jams and free events, such as movies and author interviews. We use a “Will Call” system where you provide your name and pay when we open the doors about 30 minutes prior to show time. Due to staff limitations, we are no longer providing assigned seats. If you have a reservation, you will be allowed to select seats after paying. If you do not have reservations, then you will be asked to queue in the lobby in the order in which you arrived until you can pay and find available seating about 15 minutes before showtime.

To be guaranteed admission, we strongly recommend that you reserve seats via email at tix@puffinfoundation.org, so we can send you a confirmation. If you reserve via our Events Line at 201-836-3499, we cannot confirm reservations left on our voice mail unless you provide an email address. If you do not receive a confirmation within 48 hours, please call back, and if you are unsuccessful getting through, please try 201-836-3400.

Whichever reservation method you use, be sure to provide the following information: last name, number of seats, email address, and telephone number (in case of last minute show cancellations). You will then receive email confirmation and future advance notifications. Provide a postal address if you want to receive our printed monthly events calendars. We do not provide ANY contact info to third parties. You must claim your seats before 15 minutes to show time or forfeit your reservations. Unclaimed reservations will be released to the general public at that time. PLEASE be considerate towards your fellow patrons by contacting us in advance if you are unable to use any of your reservations.

CLOSED RESERVATIONS

Our venue seats about 100 people, so it is always best to place reservations as early as possible if you are concerned about getting seats for a popular performance, and arrive early if you are concerned about being close to the stage. Even if an event is closed for reservations, there is still a good possibility of getting seats if you arrive 30-45 minutes before show time. In such cases, we will have a sign-up wait list for entry according to list order based on availability after we release unclaimed reservations 15 minutes before show time. If the doors are closed when you arrive early, please form a single line at the theater entrance.

GENERAL POLICY

The Puffin Cultural Forum takes great pains to bring you high-quality events at NYC levels without charging NYC prices. We do this by subsidizing ticket prices, but we still pay performers well and we cherish our reputation as one of the best venues to perform. We only request as “suggested donations” $10 for concerts and a maximum of $15 for larger productions, such as dance or theater, because we feel culture should be available to everyone. In almost all cases, the door receipts are given to the performers, so please give as generously as possible so that we can keep the level of programming high and support professional performers trying to maintain their careers. Please also be respectful of the house by eating or drinking only in the reception area, not in the performance area. We cannot afford new carpeting so may have to discontinue providing refreshments in the future. We operate on a very small staff and budget, so any assistance is appreciated. We also provide free tickets to anyone willing to become a volunteer Puffinette.
