Drum Circle

Instructor: Richard Reiter

There is nothing quite like the experience of a drum circle to help you feel exuberantly and powerfully alive! No musical training is necessary. Rich Reiter, an acclaimed jazz musician and Emmy Award-winning composer has studied African drumming in Senegal, and has led drum circles around the country (including one for the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra). Rich brings many drums and percussion instruments for everyone to use if you don’t have one yourself. For some it is an active form of meditation; for others it is a joyful stress release and a chance to experience closeness with one’s fellow drummers.

Emmy award-winning composer Richard Reiter has studied drumming throughout Africa, taught at Wm. Paterson College and Montclair Academy, lead drum circles around the state, and performed at First Night Teaneck. Visit Rich's website at www.richardreiter.com
