Teen Slam Poetry Workshop

Slam Global Enterprises, who runs our monthly poetry slam events, will conduct workshops in which students learn how to use dramatic aesthetics and poetic devices to enhance oral expression, as well as hone their writing and public speaking skills. Students will complete 6 poetic works and make them ready for public performance. They will be exposed to various performance styles, professional youth poets and footage of local and national slam competitions. Slam Global offers a new vision regarding the importance of education, written expression, and the ability to convey thoughts through poetry.

Workshops will be held prior to each monthly poetry slam generally on the fourth Fridays, 6:00-7:30 pm, January 25 through May. $10 per class, 5 classes. Includes free admission to evening poetry slam.
