Updates on Grant Cycle

The Foundation is pleased to offer our grantees the opportunity to share information about their grant on our website. We hope it will offer the public increased visibility for your work.

Terms and Conditions. This form is intended for those who have received a Puffin Foundation grant. By filling out this form, you will be requesting Puffin to post information about your granted project on our web site. Please fill out the form carefully. It includes the option to provide an email address for the public to contact you, as well as providing an email address for the Foundation to use internally that would not be made public. Note that if you include personally identifiable information in your public content, it can be used and viewed by others. We are not responsible for the information you choose to include in public content. The Foundation reserves the right to edit any submissions for size and appropriate content. If you wish to give photo, audio or video credit for submissions, such credit should be included in your text under the description of your project.

Thank you to all the creative artists and organizations that have submitted proposals for our review. Notifications about whether grants were approved will be made on an ongoing basis through May, 2013.

The Puffin Foundation is no longer accepting applications for the 2013 grant cycle. Our new grant cycle for proposals in the fields of music, photography and theater will open in September of this year. Application materials will be made available in September. Please check our website at that time for updated information on the grant process.

If you'd like to apply, we do not send applications electronically. You will need to send a SASE business size # 10 envelope to the Foundation starting in September. Completed applications for next year's cycle will be accepted from November 1st until the deadline of December 27, 2013 postmarked by midnight. Notifications will be made on an ongoing basis through May, 2014.

The Puffin Foundation Ltd. continues to make grants that encourage emerging artists in the fields of art, film, music, theater, dance, photography, and public interest whose works due to their genre and/or social philosophy might have difficulty being aired. The Foundation funds each discipline on a two year cycle. Disciplines that were awarded grants from Puffin this year such as the fine arts, dance and video will again be considered for our 2015 grants, with applications available in September, 2014.

Grants from the Puffin Foundation, Ltd. can only be awarded to permanent residents and citizens of the United States. U.S. citizens whose projects encompass work in other countries are still eligible to apply. The Foundation does not have the means to fund large film/documentary proposals, grants for travel, scholarships, continuing education, or the writing or publishing of literary works.

Average grants are: $1,000.00 - $2,500.00
