A Night of Youth Readings and Performances to Celebrate the Closing of Starling Skies: An Art Show with Trans Kids and Adults!

Our closing even was hosted on May 17th, presented in collaboration with POGEK (Parents of Gender Expansive Kids), Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Chrysalis Magazine and Hive Mind Books. Our host was the inimitable Theyde Bedbug! Young people as well as adults performed, read poetry, and shared their artwork for a crowd that completely filled our space (and then some).
Zines, posters, books, and gender expansive resources were provided at this beautiful, memorable event. It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of Starling Skies, a joyous, gorgeous, and tremendously meaningful exhibition that was part of NYC’s first Trans Art Fest.
