“Democracy Jenga” Exhibition

Democracy Jenga was a group show curated by Ingrid Butterer. It featured works by Aileen Bassis, Rich Garr, Marina Heintze, jc lenochan, Kirk Maynard, Joyce Riley, and Howard Skrill. The show highlighted the precarious state of American democracy and asked how we can prevent it from collapsing altogether.

The opening was held Saturday, January 7th. Guests met some of the artists, enjoyed refreshments, and learned about Hands Off New York City, which empowers community members to keep each other safe.
