Envision: Community Portrait Day

After a long hiatus, a favorite First Exposures’ event was back with a new name in a new place, but with the same heart— Envision: Community Portrait Day. Our collaboration with the Women’s Building, de Young Museum, and the Center for Cultural Power was a day to remember. Our super talented youth photographers made portraits for over 200 families and friends with over 400 people photographed in just 4 hours— an absolute feat! We even got to exhibit Emerging Kinship, photography made by our summer residents in commemoration of International Migrant’s Day. It really was a day of community.
