Opulent Mobility

There were several Opulent Mobility events in 2024; many thanks to the Puffin Foundation for your help! The January show technically began in December 2023, and had an excellent turnout. There was a retrospective exhibit held at USC’s Hoyt Gallery in September 2024, part of their Visions and Voices series, that included three ASL interpreted talks. In addition, I mounted two other exhibits in October 2024 (Enter the Goddesses 2 and the Art of Costume Couture) and offered 8 online community interviews. Opulent Mobility 2024 went on display at the Los Angeles Makery in December of 2024 and included an ASL interpreted artist talk.

Funds from the Puffin Foundation were used to cover art descriptions, ASL interpretation, corrected captioning for programming, and printing and framing of digital files sent from disabled artists living outside of California.Ā  Covering the costs of printing and framing make it possible for disabled artists from overseas and across the country to share art without the expense of shipping work long distances.
