Te Mana o Teao (The Strength of the World)

We are thrilled to share that Te Mana o Teao (The Strength of the World) has completed principal photography on Rapa Nui — Easter Island — and is now entering post-production.

Filming on the most remote inhabited island in the world, we followed José Teao, an indigenous Rapa Nui underwater hunter and freediver who lost a leg in an accident and spent years away from the sea. His journey back to the ocean — one of resilience, identity, and spiritual renewal — is now captured on film, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who made it possible.

Your support has been essential in getting us here. We are now fundraising to complete the film — covering editing, color correction, sound design, music, and the impact campaign that will bring this story to audiences and communities around the world.

Te Mana o Teao is fiscally sponsored by BAVC Media, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Tax-deductible donations can be made directly through their platform, and every contribution goes directly toward finishing this film.

Thank you for believing in José’s story — and in the power of the ocean to transform lives.
