Project/Synapse

“Project/Synapse” features large panoramic landscape photographs capturing the American landscape to evoke introspective concepts through memory and association. Transitioning from subjects to ideas and emotions, I explored the essence of life’s decline amidst obsolete settings like junkyards and defunct manufacturing plants throughout the US. Each image became a vessel for expressing the fading vitality I perceived. Pursuing the curvature of the earth symbolized freedom in my visual narrative.

The philosopher Richard Wollheim delves into the interplay between physical objects and their representational images, emphasizing the significance of intentions over mere perception. The emotions conveyed by art often transcend conscious awareness, forging a possessive bond between artist and viewer. “Project/Synapse” serves as the bridge, projecting my innermost feelings onto the visual medium, inviting viewers to experience and connect with the essence of my journey.
