Migration Stories

August 22, 2025

Our inaugural exhibit, “Migration Stories,” opened on 4/26/25 and was on view through 6/21/25.

We featured an installation piece by the artist Mona Saeed Kamal, titled 1001 Migrations. This evocative work is composed of 1001 delicate paper boats folded out of hand painted paper.
The installation is complemented by material from the ACLU’s Border Humanity Project: Letters to America, in which three individuals share their journeys of seeking asylum in the US.

Open hours with the artist on Saturdays from 2 PM to 6 PM and visitors may also stop by when the office is open during the week (usually Tuesdays and Thursdays).

During the course of the exhibit, we will be having some fantastic workshops and talks with Mona as well as special guests. Check our calendar below, or, to have the goods delivered straight to your inbox, please sign up for our email list!
