We’re proud to announce this year’s winners of The Puffin Prize for Creative Citizenship: Hands Off NYC and Unidos MN. These two grassroots organizations help mobilize efforts in their communities in New York City and Minneapolis.

Award ceremony will be May 18th. We are thrilled to announce that Chris Hayes will be the evening’s emcee.

About Hands Off NYC

Hands Off NYC brings together a broad coalition to protect against, preempt, and prepare for federal incursion in New York City. We do this through mass mobilization, neighborhood organizing, and building a culture of defiance.

About Unidos-MN Education Fund

Unidos-MN is a grassroots organization that builds power with Minnesota’s working families to advance social, racial, and economic justice for all.
